Parents as Partners, 6 November 2008

Gail O'Connell welcomed the group and introductions were made.
Laurie distributed copies of the finalized vision statements prepared by the ADL faculty and asked for the groups' input. We broke into 3 small groups to examine the 3 statements separately. We then gathered and shared our ideas of each statement which Laurie will bring back to the faculty.
NECAP snacks provided by PAP: Laurie conveyed appreciation from both the staff and students.
Beautification project: After discussion, the group decided on tackling the girls' and boys' locker rooms. Laurie will ask PE teachers Ruth McGowan and Ashley Stebbins for their input. Painting is certain; we will come up with more ideas. A tour of the locker rooms will be given at the December meeting.
Student e-mail addresses: all ADL students have addresses so they can access homework assignments and use the web resources available.
To be held Nov. 17-21, M-F 7:10-7:30 AM, 2-3 PM, Thurs. eve 5:30-8:30 PM. Coordinators are Charlee Day and Heidi Clark. Spring book sale will be held March 31-April 3. If you can help, contact Charlee at 598-7785 or charleevt@comcast.net.
At this time we have $754.88 in our account.
At the October meeting Gail O'Connell offered to research a grant that had been sent to the school. Using the available information she was unable to find the application process since it was not included on the website.
Anyone attending the Baked Beads sale is reminded to submit receipts for a percentage donation from Baked Beads.
Upcoming concerts::
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Monday Nov. 24 and Tuesday Nov. 25.
